The trial lesson did not go very well since we had technology problems on the student’s side.

The trial lesson did not go very well since we had technology problems on the student’s side. Shall I give him another chance?

Not sure what type of trial lesson you gave, was it a free lesson, or a paid, possibly discounted lesson? If it was a free lesson I would not offer the student another free lesson. Not only he may be taking advantage of your services, you may also be giving him the feeling that you are begging to get students.

If it was a discounted lesson, the situation may be different, since a student paying for a discounted lesson is usually much more motivated about tuition than a student who is simply trying a free online lesson. The chances to convert the paying student into a regular client are much higher when compared to the chances of converting the other student, who got a free lesson, into a paying client, therefore you may give the paying student a second chance, maybe with a shorter lesson, either still discounted or free since he had already paid the first lesson.
